HNBK goes Europe – AGAIN

Following last year’s successful digital project, students from HI-22A and HI-22B continued their cooperation with Spanish students from the CIFP Rio Ebro in Burgos (Spain). The German students prepared the material and instructions in English for assembling the conveyor belt of the candy machine, the centrepiece of the Industry 4.0 system. „Einer for Alle – One for all“ – that is the motto of the state parliament in North Rhine-Westphalia (NRW). Pupils from classes HI-22B and FI-22A, accompanied by teachers Claudia Welzel and Pedro Goncalves, experienced what this means during their visit to the NRW state parliament on 14 November 2023. On 26 October 2023, the class HI-23A, under the supervision of Dr. Lotfi, visited the travelling exhibition of the German Bundestag in the Frohnhauser Apostelkirche. Bienvenue à Essen – From the metropolis on the Mediterranean to the Ruhr

From 4 December to 17 December 2022 six students from our partner school “École libre des Métiers, Lycée professionnel privé“ from Marseille, accompanied by their subject teachers, visited the HNBK and completed internships in companies. Homeschooling across Europe and in a different way!

You don’t necessarily have to travel far for international meetings and cooperation. The last few years have shown that – with the appropriate tools at hand – you can also work collaboratively online. Twelve students from the lower grades of the HNBK’s Höhere Berufsfachschule (Higher Vocational School) proved this in an online exchange with students from a Spanish school. In 2014, the EURLAB project was approved with 99 out of 100 points under the “Erasmus +“ program of the European Union. Besides the HNBK, vocational schools from Italy and France were involved. 'EUROV Collaborative Design

EUROV, Collaborative Design of a European Rover

The aim of the project, in which HNBK and five other schools schools from France, Italy, Poland, Portugal and Spain took part, was to build a rover in each of the participating schools that could be remotely controlled from any of the other schools and drive through its own school.
