Bienvenue à Essen – From the metropolis on the Mediterranean to the Ruhr

From 4 December to 17 December 2022 six students from our partner school “École libre des Métiers, Lycée professionnel privé“ from Marseille, accompanied by their subject teachers, visited the HNBK and completed internships in companies. Homeschooling across Europe and in a different way!

You don’t necessarily have to travel far for international meetings and cooperation. The last few years have shown that – with the appropriate tools at hand – you can also work collaboratively online. Twelve students from the lower grades of the HNBK’s Höhere Berufsfachschule (Higher Vocational School) proved this in an online exchange with students from a Spanish school. The European Union is funding a project HNBK with more than 50,000 euros within the framework of Erasmus+. The application was evaluated by EU experts and evaluators with 98 out of 100 points. In 2014, the EURLAB project was approved with 99 out of 100 points under the “Erasmus +“ program of the European Union. Besides the HNBK, vocational schools from Italy and France were involved. I’m really enjoying working with various classes in the school and getting to know the students through conversation classes. 'EUROV Collaborative Design

EUROV, Collaborative Design of a European Rover

The aim of the project, in which HNBK and five other schools schools from France, Italy, Poland, Portugal and Spain took part, was to build a rover in each of the participating schools that could be remotely controlled from any of the other schools and drive through its own school.
